Building Ties, Creating Community in Cambodia

Part of “kinship” is reminding people that they are not alone. They belong to a group of friends, a family, or a community. Kinship Leader Pastor Jack in Cambodia provided that cohesive feeling for 120 youths from five different provinces this summer during an inspirational youth camping event. The theme of the event came from Judges 6:12, “’The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.’” Pastor Jack strove to prepare the youths to be strong, firm, and ready to serve the Lord boldly in their own communities. The Reality of a Rescued Child

We'd like to think that after a rescued child joins a Kinship Home, their new family and essentials like a warm meal and a safe bed could fix everything for them. But the transition into a Kinship Home isn't always easy. Many children are used to focusing on survival and feeling constant fear and hesitation to trust. Children bring their own heavy emotions and heartbreak that they need time to heal from — children like Kulechu. Kulechu's problems started before he could even speak. His father passed away when he was just eight months old. And his mother turned to Orphan Rescue

Reigniting the Fire: Kinship Cambodia’s Transformative Leadership Conference

Something truly incredible happened in the Takeo province of Cambodia. Kinship Cambodia organized a leadership conference that brought together 40 pastors from every corner of the province. And it was nothing short of a divine blessing! Picture this: Pastors traveling on their scooters and motorcycles, journeying for over an hour to be part of this remarkable gathering. The excitement and anticipation were palpable in the air as they eagerly arrived at the conference venue. But here's the thing - these pastors weren't just attending any ordinary event. They were in desperate need of inspiration and encouragement. The relentless waves of Community

Healing Through Art: How Your Support Impacts Children Like Kasozi and Moses

Children who have been orphaned, abused, or neglected often face enormous emotional and psychological challenges, and it can be difficult for them to find healthy ways to cope. But this World Mental Health Day, we want to remind you that there is hope. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, homes like the Buloba Kinship Project are able to provide children with the care and resources they need to heal and thrive. And one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal is art. Take Kasozi, for example. Like many of the children at Buloba, he’s had Child Stories
