A Cayacoa Kinship Kid smiles with her caregiver

Sponsorship Spotlight: Restoring Security in Cayacoa

When the Cayacoa Kinship Project in the Dominican Republic faced the high winds of a day-long tropical storm, the chain-link fence surrounding the property was badly damaged. The protective wiring around the top of the fence was nearly completely destroyed. The fence itself had structural damage in several places. Overnight, Cayacoa was left with an emergency need to secure the safety of their vulnerable children. Thanks to the dedicated monthly Cayacoa Kinship Project sponsors, this emergency need was met. The fence was repaired in many sections and replaced in others. The property is once again secure! Monthly sponsors are there Newsletter

Joyce’s Story: The Trials of a Blind Widow

Widow Joyce is a remarkable, strong woman, but even she couldn’t have prepared for the trials that life had in store for her. She is a blind widow and the mother of ten children, nine of whom tragically died during the ongoing war in her home country of South Sudan. They invited all the kids from the local community to come and join them for a special day of evangelism, education, and entertainment. It was a day of fun and learning that left a lasting impression on nearly one hundred children. The day began Newsletter

Spreading Joy and Hope Through Music: Elijah’s Calling

There's no denying the fact that music has a way of moving us that mere words cannot. Music can bring us together, heal wounds, and offer hope to those who need it most. And this rings especially true for Mugalu Elijah, a 22-year-old Kinship United alumnus who calls the Kireka Kinship Project his home. Elijah's love for music started at the age of eight when he first heard the caregiver at his Kinship Project singing hymns at their local church. From that moment on, he knew that music would play an important role in his life. Fast forward to today, Child Stories, Music

A Safe Place to Rest Their Heads: The Bakka Kinship Project

It's incredible to think that something as simple as a bed and a place to sleep can have such a profound impact on a child's life. For Abigail (5), Praise (7), and Joyce (7), it means the world. These three little girls have found a safe haven at the Bakka Kinship Project in Uganda where they now have reliable shelter, food, and most importantly, a bed to sleep in and a place to dream. For these young girls, the simple luxury of having a bed is nothing short of a miracle. Can you imagine being so young and not having Child Stories
