Hope and Healing Returned to Buloba—Thanks to You

When we say, “You make it possible,” we truly mean it. Every story of hope and healing that we share starts with your kindness. And thanks to your ongoing support, something amazing happened in Buloba, Uganda.

You Stepped in When Help Was Needed Most

A mother holds her child as they receive medical careFor a long time, healthcare in Buloba was supported by international aid. But when that funding ended, the community was left without essential health services. Medical shelves went empty. Clinics struggled. People had nowhere to turn.

But you didn’t let them face it alone.

Our Ugandan team and Kinship Alumni knew they had to act fast. They wanted to help their neighbors and give them back the care they desperately needed. So, thanks to your generosity, they organized a special medical outreach event—right during Easter, a season of hope and renewal.

A Community Comes Together

This event was a team effort! The Kinship Alumni Centre, Plus Medical, the Buloba Kinship Project, and the Buloba Village Council all worked side by side. Local churches and community leaders joined in too. And it was all made possible by you.

Your support helped cover the cost of medical supplies, transportation, and more. Because of that, doctors and nurses could focus on helping people—not worrying about how to make it all happen.

The result? Over 800 people received care!

“Today, I Felt Truly Seen.”

Mrs. Nanfuka, a 70-year-old widow and grandmother of three, said something heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time:

“I haven’t seen a doctor in years. Today, I felt truly seen.”

This wasn’t just a clinic—it was a place of respect, dignity, and care.

People received free check-ups and treatments. They got tested for diabetes and high blood pressure. Those who learned they had a condition received counseling and referrals. Others received urgent care for breathing problems and treatments for malaria. For many, it was their first time seeing a doctor in years.

Dr. Byabakama, the lead physician at the event, said, “Your support let us focus on healing, not logistics.”

A Festival of Healing

Held during Easter weekend, the outreach felt like a celebration. Families came together not just to receive care, but to support one another. Local leaders shared tips on nutrition and hygiene—simple but powerful tools that will keep helping the community long after the event ended.

And the best part? Two more outreach camps are already being planned for later this year!

Hope Rises in Buloba—Thanks to You

When outside aid disappeared, it could have meant disaster for the people in Buloba. But you turned a crisis into a movement of hope.

You reminded an entire community that they are not forgotten. That they matter. And that help can come from caring hearts like yours.

Thank you for bringing healing, hope, and joy to the people of Buloba. Your kindness is saving lives every day.
