Kinship Projects Worldwide Face Unique Challenges During Pandemic

Hand-washing station in KenyaIn addition to social distancing and taking the same precautions as the rest of the world, Kinship Projects are fighting this pandemic in some unique ways.

For instance, hand washing has been a bit of a challenge. We all know that one of the best ways to combat the spread of viruses is simply by washing your hands with soap and water. However, running water is an uncommon luxury in many of the communities where our Kinship Projects are located! Hand-washing stations were set up, along with extra soap and hand sanitizers in many locations. Kinship Projects also had to purchase gloves and masks, as many countries and regions are requiring masks to be worn in public.

Kinship Kids are facing many of the same challenges as many children here in the US who now have to stay at home and are not able to attend school, church, or get together with friends and extended family. But these children, orphans who have suffered great trauma and pain, struggle with the instability of this crisis. They are asking their caregivers hard and heartbreaking questions. Please be praying for their hearts as they fight against fear and uncertainty.

Alliance in Action

It’s times like these that our Kinship Kindness Alliance members really shine. Your monthly contributions provide the stability Kinship Projects need when the unexpected – like a pandemic – happens.

As times get tough for many of our supporters, we are grateful for those who continue to give sacrificially. Know we are praying for you all through this time.
