Widows know the anguish of losing a loved one. They carry that with them daily. But this Christmas, you can be the hero that helps make their hearts a little lighter.
Throughout the year, our team of dedicated Kinship Alumni in Kenya have been addressing the dangerous issues of malnutrition and starvation within communities of widows and their children or grandchildren.
To help these communities get healthier, our team has organized large food distribution events in six locations, drawing at least 250 widows. At these gatherings, every widow receives a box of MannaPack meals, which are full of important nutrients.
When the widows receive their boxes, their eyes sparkle with joy. They dance and sing, their laughter echoing through the village. It’s always a beautiful sight to see!
But none of this would be possible without the kindness and compassion of our supporters. You’ve not only helped provide food for these women, but you’ve also reminded them that they are not alone.
"Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause." - Isaiah 1:17
A Special Giving Opportunity to Surprise Widows this Christmas
This Christmas, the Kinship Alumni team wants to do something even more special for the widows. They dream of creating fun Christmas packages filled with rice, wheat flour, sugar, cooking oil, and tea leaves—essentials that will nourish the women and bring them warmth and joy during the festive season.
Imagine the excitement and gratitude on their faces as they open these Christmas packages, knowing that someone far away cared enough to make their holiday brighter. Your giving has the power to transform lives, and this simple act of kindness can make this Christmas magical for these women.
Your support is more than a gift—it’s a message of love and hope. You can help make this season one of celebration for the widows and their families in their villages. Thank you for believing in the power of giving. You can make this Christmas truly special and one they’ll never forget.
