Abandoned by her mother, Precious Amaya would have been “thrown into the Sabwani river” because no one could care for her.

When Precious Amaya was rescued, she was small for her age and unusually independent, evidence of neglect. Through consistent love, proper nutrition, medical attention, and a safe home environment, Precious Amaya is now a healthy, happy, active toddler. She gets all the attention and nourishment she needs, and she’s growing FAST!

Precious Amaya now walks confidently, plays freely, and brings joy to her Kinship Family. She feels loved, protected, and valued: something every child deserves.

One of the most beautiful milestones is her social development. “Precious now clearly responds to affection, and expresses joy and security in the family,” said Elizabeth.

Another milestone in her journey: Precious has begun to speak! “She learns new words every day,” Elizabeth reports. “Her growth in communication is a strong indicator of her improved emotional well-being and cognitive development.”
