How You Can Help Cambodian Families in Crisis Right Now

Support Emergency Response and Refugee Relief

Pastor Jack preaching during Kinship Cambodia's Christmas gathering. When we ask our Cambodian field team members about their Christmas celebrations, they usually tell us about joyful worship services filled with singing, dancing, and nativity plays. They share stories of children laughing, communities gathering, and churches celebrating the birth of Jesus together.

But Christmas in Cambodia felt different this year.

Thanks to you, Kinship Cambodia was still able to place presents into little hands and help congregations gather to celebrate the miracle of Christ’s birth. Yet, alongside these celebrations, our field team members were carrying a much heavier burden.

Responding to War

Instead of focusing solely on Christmas programs, they were also busy setting up makeshift shelters, distributing meals, and providing emergency supplies to frightened families who had fled their homes. Along the Thai–Cambodia border, war displaced nearly half a million people. Bridges, schools, temples, roads, and buildings were destroyed. Families lost everything. And even now, people remain in desperate need of food, shelter, and medical care.

Can you imagine the fear a child must have felt waking up to the sounds of gunfire and soldiers moving through their village? Running south into the jungle just trying to survive?

But this isn’t an imagined story.

One of the refugee camps in the jungles of CambodiaHeartbreakingly, 1,000 displaced children in just one area alone are now orphaned after their villages were occupied. Countless more children and other refugees are relying on compassionate help to survive. Our field team members are doing everything they can, but they cannot do it alone.

They Need Your Help

Your gift can help provide lifesaving support, including meals, waterproof tarps, blankets, nets, tents, jackets, medical supplies, nonperishable food items, and additional rescue and care resources for children and families in crisis.

This is a big need. Many lives are at stake. And without your help, we cannot replenish and distribute the supplies required to bring relief.

Thank you for opening your heart to communities in crisis. People are scared. They’ve lost their homes, their friends, and their family members. Your generosity can bring comfort, protection, and the love of Christ to those who need it most during this painful time.
