Celebrate World Food Day with a Kinship Success Story

Guess what – today is World Food Day, and you’ve been working hard to end world hunger! Don’t believe me? Keep reading to see what you’ve already done to help a community in dire need by supporting a special young man and his Kinship!

When you support a Kinship and take care of the children’s basic needs, you give them the opportunity to focus on what they’re passionate about and develop ways to achieve their dreams. And that’s exactly what you did for Henry Rajab, a young farmer from Kenya.

Henry Rajab discovered his interest in agriculture at an early age.Rajab came to the Ephraim Kinship as an orphan. From an early age, he always loved gardening and farming, and his caregivers encouraged his gifts. Thanks to your generous support, Rajab graduated from Gilgal High School and continued his training in agriculture.

But the best part is that your donations are gifts that keep on giving! Like a ripple effect, Rajab isn’t keeping his skills to himself. He’s paying it forward by giving back to the Kinship and the community. He’s now teaching other Kinship Kids how to farm and grow their own gardens. And for an area that can always count on food shortages, creating food security with their own little farms is invaluable.

Henry Rajab teaches other Kinship Kids about farming.

You’re making a world of a difference for the Kinship Kids you help. When you donate, you’re doing more than taking care of children by giving them food and other necessities; you’re raising kids who’ll give back to their communities like Rajab is!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making success stories like his possible! No one person can change the world, but you sure can change the world for one person.
