Remember Sarah? An Update.
After your overwhelming response to our April newsletter, we are so pleased to share that Sarah and her siblings have found a home with one of our local staff members in Kenya. They received new beds and clothes, and you can see by their smiles just how much they are improving. They are so thankful to be living in a safe environment, have enough to eat, sleep well at night, and to just be able to be kids again.
Keep praying for Sarah and her siblings, and for so many more like her in their community who are still in harm’s way.
Kinships in Kenya Did This, Now the Kids Won’t Stop Cleaning!
Last year, Kinships in Kenya got a much-needed paint job. The paint that had previously been used would wipe off right along with any dirt that got on the walls, so it could never be cleaned properly. We searched high and low for a good quality paint that would hold up and, most importantly, could be wiped clean with a wet cloth, and thanks to your gifts, Kinships across Kenya have been painted and updated.
But there was an unexpected result of these new paint jobs: the kids are unusually excited about cleaning! In fact, one Kinship is so grateful to have these beautiful clean walls that the kids have created their own cleaning schedule. They hope to have the chance to visit other Kinship Projects some day, and the first thing they’d do is inspect the other Kinship’s walls. These kids are sure they’d win in a clean wall contest!
Thanks to all who donated for repairs and painting at the Kenyan Kinship Projects.
