Your Legacy Lives On Through Kids Like Mathias

As the New Year starts and the fireworks fade away, it’s natural to think back on the past year and what you’ve achieved. And if you’re a Kinship United supporter, you’ve done something truly amazing. You’ve built your legacy.

Your generosity isn’t just about providing temporary help. You’re making a lasting impact, helping children build better futures, and inspiring them to help others just like you’ve helped them.

Like Mathias.

His story, shared by our team in Uganda, shows how much your support changes lives.

“Kasozi Mathias grew up with his grandmother, who loved and cared for him deeply. But as she grew older and weaker, she couldn’t take care of him anymore. That’s when Mathias was brought to Kyengera Kinship Home. It became more than just a place to live—it was a family and a fresh start.

Now a proud Kinship United alumnus, Mathias hasn’t forgotten where he came from. He’s using his passion for art to make a difference, especially for kids going through tough times. He is building on his legacy.

In his free time, Mathias creates art that tells stories—his stories, their stories, and stories of hope. But he doesn’t stop there. He’s teaching art to kids who have faced incredible challenges. These are children who have been orphaned, abused, or neglected, and who struggle to cope with the pain life has thrown their way.

For these kids, art is more than just drawing or painting. It’s a way to express what’s inside—a safe way to share their feelings and tell their stories when words aren’t enough.

‘Art gives them a voice,’ Mathias says. ‘It helps them deal with life and see that things can get better.’

Mathias doesn’t just teach kids how to draw; he shows them how to heal, dream, and hope. His classes are a space where they can create something beautiful, no matter how messy life feels.

Legacy Can be Personal

For Mathias, art is personal. His own journey is proof that even in hard times, there’s a way forward. He’s using his talent and love for art to inspire these kids to believe in themselves and in a brighter future.”

Thank you for rescuing children like Mathias and giving them the chance to heal from difficult childhoods and grow into amazing adults. Your generosity made a difference in Mathias’ life, and now he’s paying it forward by helping the next generation of children. What an incredible blessing you’ve made possible.
