Help Orphans with Food Security this World Food Day

Kinship Projects around the world have to get pretty creative when it comes to helping orphans and serving the desperate people in their communities. They stretch the support you give them to the max by living simply, sharing a lot, and making sacrifices. But when Kinship Leaders are in the thick of orphan rescue and have to make quick decisions about caring for these precious children, it all comes down to the basics: food, water, and shelter. And on Wednesday, October 16th, one of those basics will stand front and center on the world stage. Because October 16th is World Orphan Rescue

Updates from Kenya: the Impact of Your Incredible Support

Remember Sarah? An Update. After your overwhelming response to our April newsletter, we are so pleased to share that Sarah and her siblings have found a home with one of our local staff members in Kenya. They received new beds and clothes, and you can see by their smiles just how much they are improving. They are so thankful to be living in a safe environment, have enough to eat, sleep well at night, and to just be able to be kids again. Keep praying for Sarah and her siblings, and for so many more like her in their community Newsletter

But thankfully, malaria is both treatable and preventable. Our Kinship Kids were treated and made full recoveries, but we need your help to make sure no more kids get sick. The easiest, most effective way Newsletter

It Takes a Village to Feed the Hungry

On August 7th, members of our local Kinship United team were blessed to have the opportunity to participate in a Feed My Starving Children packing event. They helped pack hundreds of boxes of lentil soup mix that will be heading to Kenya. Food shortages started early this year in Kenya, with droughts hitting hard as early as March, and it has not improved. The situation near the Lodwar Kinship in Turkana County is especially dire. Thousands are starving to death. Thanks to Feed My Starving Children, who donated hundreds of thousands of meals, and our team and volunteers, who packed Newsletter
