Maulun Kindergarten

Maulun is located in Atambua, which is on the western half of Timor Island in Indonesia. The area is fairly remote, but is filled with over 60,000 refugees who fled from East Timor (the other half of the island) after violence erupted when they became independent in 2002.

Maulun is in a very remote location, which makes education less accessible and less affordable. One of the ways this Kinship Project is reaching out to the local community is by setting up a kindergarten for children in the village.
