Geoffrey’s life hasn’t been easy, but his story is becoming one of hope and healing. He lives with cross eyes, which limit how he sees the world and have always made him feel self-conscious. After surviving a frightening motorcycle crash, he began a journey of recovery—not just for his physical injuries, but also for the deep emotional wounds he has carried for so long.
A big part of Geoffrey’s healing came through the love and support of the Kinship community around him. His Kireka Kinship family and Pastor Richard stood by him as always, offering encouragement and prayer. Joel, a Kinship Alumnus, helped him take the brave step of starting therapy, which is extremely difficult to access in Uganda.
Remember Cate?
She is a Kinship Alumna who became a nurse, and her story was featured on our blog. Cate grew up in a Kinship Project and YOUR love transformed her life. And now she has changed Geoffrey’s life, passing on all the compassion you inspired in her.
Cate’s care and kindness made all the difference, ensuring Geoffrey could get the help he desperately needed. As Geoffrey worked on healing his heart, another amazing breakthrough came for him. With Cate’s guidance and connections, Geoffrey visited an eye clinic, where he finally received treatment.
Today, thanks to that visit and his very first pair of glasses, Geoffrey can see the world with clarity. The joy on his face as he took in the details around him—friends’ smiles, trees swaying in the wind—was nothing short of a miracle.
A Brighter Future
With so much love and support around him, Geoffrey has started dreaming again. He wants to use his story to inspire other kids who feel abandoned or hopeless. He believes God has a purpose for his life—a plan to turn his struggles into a testimony of healing, resilience, and grace.
If you’re reading this, Geoffrey has one simple request: please keep him in your prayers. Pray for his continued healing, for strength to overcome life’s challenges, and for peace as he discovers what God has in store for him.
Thanks to people like Pastor Richard, Joel, Cate, and the entire Kinship family, Geoffrey's story is no longer defined by pain but by hope. We can’t wait to see how God will work through him in the future. This is only the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in his life.
