Imagine growing up next to a trash dump…
You don’t notice the smell, because it’s all you’ve ever known. You know the food you get from the dump is gross, but it’s all you’ve ever eaten. You have a feeling life could be better somewhere else, but you don’t know what that would actually be like. This life is all you’ve ever known.
Then one day while you're digging through the trash a man offers to get some real food for you and your family. You would take it, right?
This is how innocently, and easily trafficking can start. A child wants to take care of themselves, or their family, but the predator has other plans.
Will you protect a child in danger of trafficking? You can keep a child safe by supporting a Kinship Project close to them. These Kinship Projects not only provide food, shelter, and protection for these children, but most importantly they give them a community to belong to.
A trafficker is less likely to take a child who will be missed. And when you support Kinship Projects, you give children a whole lot of people who would miss them if they were gone!
