Alumni Spotlight: Sylvia – From Struggle to Strength

Your commitment and generosity for orphaned children raises them into healthy, kind, and educated young adults who love the Lord. When a Kinship Kid graduates from a Kinship Project, they become part of the Kinship Alumni – a group of incredible young adults who have so much love in their hearts, they continue to volunteer and mentor the Kinship Kids who grew up just like them. You Change AND Save Lives!

Thanks to your dedication and generosity, it has been a summer of big changes at Kinship Projects around the world. World Food Day: An Unexpected Path to Discipleship

Nutritious meals are one of the most important parts of a growing child’s day. And this World Food Day (and every day!) we're excited to say that thanks to generous supporters, Kinship Leaders can fill the bellies of their Kinship Kids and distribute meals during life-saving community outreach events. This Widow Stayed Resilient Through Violence and Heartbreak

Through Kinship United, generous contributors impact vulnerable individuals and families, offering them hope and stability in times of crisis. The story of Akua, a resilient widow from Unity State, South Sudan, exemplifies the tragic histories many of the people we serve share and how important community is in getting them through. Together with her husband, Akua raised their children and served those in their community in South Sudan. However, her life took a tragic turn when her husband was killed during intercommunal violence, leaving Akua to care for their children alone. Rewriting Her Story: You’re Helping Children like Choek Succeed

Helping children worldwide doesn’t always require rescue and full-time care. Sometimes children and young adults crave the connection and feeling of belonging Kinship Projects provide. And sometimes a child just needs encouragement, a relationship with God, and a helping hand to achieve their hopes and dreams. Choek Srey Neath had the cards stacked against her before she was born. Being the last child in her family and a daughter, societal norms dictated that she wouldn’t have the opportunity to pursue a college education. It’s customary for girls not to earn degrees because they stay home, cook food for the family, Child Stories, Education
