Christmas Day at a Kinship Project might have more in common with your celebration than you think. Your support makes it possible to welcome orphans and widows into safe places they can call home and celebrate Christmas with their new family. Many Kinship Homes even decorate a bit!
But the items on An Orphan’s Wish List probably don’t look much like the hopeful potential gifts on yours. Topping their list are necessities that an un-rescued orphan is unfortunately used to living without.
Will you grant an orphan’s wish and be the answer to their prayers for these essential items?
Food
In addition to feeding every Kinship Kid and widow with three meals a day, many Kinship Projects also distribute to their surrounding starving communities. Your gift of life-saving food will reach thousands.
A gift of $30 can provide as many as 1,000 meals.
Clothes and Shoes
You can give a child more than a new outfit – you can give them the dignity they deserve. Clean clothes without tatters, and new shoes without holes, makes an orphan beam with confidence. And there is always a need for more, because these kids grow fast!
A gift of $20 can provide clothes, undergarments, and shoes for one child.
Health and Hygiene
Giving to Health and Hygiene Needs takes washing another’s feet to a new level. Your gifts reach villages stricken by poverty, lacking in sanitation infrastructure, and battling preventable disease and illness.
A gift of $8 can provide a full sheet of treated mosquito netting. $35 can keep a hand-washing station in working order. $36 can fund a check-up at a doctor’s office.
Water
Water-borne illnesses are rampant in the areas we serve, keeping kids sick and out of school, and robbing children of parents. You can provide critical clean water solutions like wells, hand pumps, and filtration systems. These not only benefit the kids and caregivers in our Kinship Projects, but the blessing extends to the entire church and local community.
$8,000 can install a borehole, $1,000 can repair a broken well, and a gift of any amount will be used towards clean water solutions around the world.
100% of your gift goes toward making Christmas extra special for an orphan who needs you this year.

“‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me…’” –Matthew 25:34-36
Once in a while we receive more contributions for a given area of need than can be wisely applied. When this happens, we apply those funds where they are most urgently needed.
