You enabled yet another successful evangelism outreach event in Cambodia – an event that fed hundreds while sharing the good news of the Gospel.
In September, Pastor Jack and the Kinship Kids at the Chom Choa Kinship Project went to nearby Takhmao at the outskirts of the city. Soup and MannaPack meals of rice were distributed in the poorest neighborhood, Beung Chrov village. MannaPack meals are loaded with nutrients, especially beneficial to those in poverty who are often deficient in multivitamins and nutrition.
In addition to the distribution of food, the Gospel was spread, too! Christ’s love was shared with the community as they all prayed, danced, and sang worship songs in celebration and thankfulness together.
In total, Pastor Jack estimates 150 widows and 200 children gathered in the Beung Chrov church for the event. The youth from the Chom Choa Kinship Project shared their experiences with the crowd of how they survived and overcame the obstacles of their lives, and reflected that God blessed them with a good place to live and school to attend.
Pastor Jack is thrilled that this event was a success and reached so many people. But it wasn’t only the local community who benefited – the Kinship Kids left with enriched spirits, too.
Pastor Jack said, “These youths learned that we have to live our lives like what Jesus did. It reminds them to look out for the opportunity to serve the poor and the needy, [which is] the desire of God.”
One of the Kinship Kids participated in a unique way. Sean, 15, is interested in photography, and Pastor Jack let him take the photos during the event!
