Nurturing the Seeds of Compassion: Cate’s Journey from Kinship to Nursing

In a bustling Ugandan town called Kireka, a young woman named Cate carries within her the seeds of compassion and a burning desire to heal. At the tender age of 22, she stands as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, driven by her own experiences to make a significant impact on the lives of others.

Meet Cate

Cate's story began within the walls of the Kireka Kinship Project, where she found solace and love after enduring hardship at a young age. The Kinship Project became her sanctuary, a place where she discovered the transformative power of care and compassion. It was here that her passion for healthcare and her unwavering belief that every child deserves access to quality medical attention began to take root.

Having experienced firsthand the challenges of limited healthcare resources, Cate embarked on a personal mission to become a nurse, determined to make a difference in the lives of those in need. She understood the value of a helping hand during moments of vulnerability and saw herself as a vessel of healing for those who shared her story.
