Your commitment to orphans and widows transforms vulnerable lives that are otherwise forgotten. You cause critical rescues, raise parentless children, uplift poor communities, and sustain the spread of Christ’s love through evangelism.
Here are some highlights from Kinship Projects across the globe. Read on to witness firsthand the changes you made possible!
Cambodia: Annual Youth Camping Trip
Remember last year’s amazing camping Bible retreat? It happened again this March, and it was another inspiring success! Over 120 Kinship Kids had an unforgettable weekend of worship, fun, and togetherness. The theme this year was “God calls me” from the Book of Jonah. Twelve youths were baptized at this amazing event, which YOU made possible!
Thailand: The Widows of War
The ongoing war in bordering Myanmar has created many orphans and widows. You enable Kinship Projects in Thailand to reach out their hand to refugees who fled for safety after losing homes and family members. Pastor Tutu is able to provide MannaPacks to a big group of widows in need. One widow, Lah Po (59), lost her husband and both legs to a landmine. Your generosity provides for widows who have suffered the unimaginable tragedy of war.
Dominican Republic: Restoring a House of the Lord
The Cayacoa Kinship Project was blessed to be able to repair and beautify a nearby church in an extremely impoverished village. It was unusable due to its failing roof. Pastor Giovanni said the repairs “[uplift] a larger segment of the community, enabling us to reap a greater harvest for the Lord.”
Uganda: You Uplift Kinship Alumni
Four Ugandan Kinship Kids - Hakim, Tamale, Kalema, and Jemimah - were rescued at young ages, and as they become adults they need something most parentless children lack: birth certificates! They received official birth certificates and national IDs for the first time. Also, Jemimah is establishing her tailoring business! Thank you for uplifting these amazing Kinship Kids in every step of their journeys and growth.
