In John 9:4, Jesus says, “As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent me.”
That means upholding God’s Word daily, without fail. We must work hard in the name of God and all He has charged us to do.
Every day, we follow God’s charge to uplift the orphan and the widow. You have joined us, and you make this mission possible.
Kinship Projects uphold this challenge, too. They rescue orphans with empty stomachs, tattered clothes, and no beds to sleep in. They care for, educate, house, and lift up these orphans with the Gospel. They give hungry widows a place to belong. And they uplift their poverty-stricken neighbors who desperately need their aid.
In Uganda, your gifts upheld God’s work in a teacher empowerment project, giving teachers the tools they need to educate and uplift Kinship Kids at the Kyengera Kinship Project (pictured). A copier and printer mean the teachers no longer have to spend hours writing out homework and tests by hand. A laptop opens up a priceless amount of knowledge and access to the world around them.
In Cambodia, the Chom Choa Kinship Project came to the rescue when severe flooding hit their city in early January. No aid was coming, and roads were flooded, leaving many stranded or homeless with nothing to eat. Nearly up to their knees in floodwaters, Pastor Jack and his team distributed MannaPack meals to dozens of families.
In Kenya, when parasitic jiggers spread rampantly through an impoverished community, field team members hosted an emergency medical outreach event and treated over a hundred infected people.
Thank you for continuing your journey with Kinship United as we begin a new year. You pray for the orphan and the widow every day, and your gifts rescue, raise, and uplift them.
Jesus told us to uphold God’s work daily. With your help, Kinship United’s work never stops. Together, we will always lift up “the least of these,” the orphan and the widow, day in and day out. Every time the sun rises, we uphold the work our Father calls us to do.
Thank you for your generosity yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
